New Hope Initiative is an organization that works to bring real positive change to some of the poorest communities in the world. They do that with a multi-faceted approach of nutritional, educational, economic, and spiritual assistance. They partner with respected local leaders in some of the world’s most difficult neighborhoods to offer self-sustaining projects of hope that will change a community forever.

Ongoing ministry in Tanzania & Kenya:

New Hope Initiative is focused on meeting the needs of Kenyans and Tanzanians both physically and spiritually.  Specifically, New Hope Initiative has a variety of programs that include: education, nutrition, micro-finance/loans, student sponsorship, church advancement and support, medical care and building projects in and around the areas of Kibera, Kenya and Arusha, Tanzania .

Kibera:

  • Approximately 75% of people living in Kibera are under the age of 25.
  • Most people live on less than $1 per day
  • A typical family of 8-10 people live in a shack that is about 12 ft by 12 ft.
  • Projects in Kibera include: Project Biashara, New Hope School & Church, Kibera Penda Project and an upcoming medical clinic

Tanzania (Arusha)

  • Olorien Community Clinic is community clinic open to all area residents that sees up to 3,000 patients per month.
  • Bible Baptist Academy (K-8th grade),  Bible Baptist Church and Maasai village outreach

Global Impact Trip Activities:

There is a wide range of opportunities for Global Impact Trips to Tanzania and Kenya. Trips can include: education, construction, medical care, business support and much more. Each team will plan with New Hope Initiative about specific and current projects that meet in-country needs within their ministry.
